Environmental Conservation Programme

The environment is not a separate agenda. It is the foundation on which all development rests. When soil degrades, food security collapses. When rivers are polluted, communities face health crises. When trees disappear, so does the economic and ecological resilience that communities need to survive. Stewards of Grace Ambassadors brings a unique, community-powered approach to environmental conservation-mobilising our networks of widows, school children, pastors, and community leaders as frontline environmental stewards.

What We Do

Community tree planting drives - mobilising widows, schools, and churches to plant thousands of trees annually
Market place and public space clean-up campaigns in partnership with local government
Promotion of clean, affordable cooking energy alternatives to reduce deforestation
Farmer climate resilience training - agroforestry, soil conservation, water harvesting
Environmental education in schools, churches, and community forums
Waste management and recycling awareness campaigns

Our Unique Model

What sets SGA’s environmental programme apart is our community-powered model. Our widows’ networks are trained and deployed as environmental champions- earning income through tree nurseries and conservation activities while simultaneously healing their communities and ecosystems. We call this transformative synergy: restoring people and land together.

Who We Work With

We work closely with county governments, Kenya Forest Service, schools, churches, and local community groups. Our programme is designed to align with Kenya’s national tree-planting goals and the global climate commitments that affect communities most.
