Rev. Joseph Opiyo is the Executive Director of Stewards of Grace Ambassadors (SGA), where he provides strategic leadership in advancing peacebuilding, governance, community development, and humanitarian initiatives across Kenya. He leads the organization’s efforts in promoting grassroots peace, civic education, widows’ empowerment, youth engagement, and strategic partnerships with government institutions, faith-based organizations, development partners, and the private sector.

A seasoned development, governance, and peacebuilding practitioner, Rev. Opiyo has extensive experience working with public institutions, private organizations, and civil society. Throughout his career, he has championed initiatives that promote peaceful coexistence, democratic governance, community resilience, and sustainable development. He has collaborated with several organizations, including Techno International, ICEA LION, Transparency International, the Ministry of East African Community (EAC), the Ministry of Trade, and other organizations dedicated to promoting peace and national development. He also serves as the Board Chairman of Peak Achievers Kenya.

Under his leadership, Stewards of Grace Ambassadors has expanded its national footprint through impactful programs focusing on peace advocacy, civic education, leadership development, humanitarian response, and the economic empowerment of vulnerable communities, particularly widows and youth.

Rev. Opiyo holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in International Relations. He has further strengthened his professional expertise through certifications in Project Management, Insurance Risk Management, and Information Technology (IT). His leadership is driven by integrity, servant leadership, and a deep commitment to building peaceful, inclusive, and resilient communities across Kenya and beyond.
